As You Go, MAKE DISCIPLES...Transformed Hearts Conference

August 22 & 23, 2008

A unique conference experience. In order to make disciples, the Christian must first be a disciple--a mature, sold out, follower of Christ. This conference takes a look at what that means.

“And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.” –2 Corinthians 3:18

Comeback Church Conference

Research shows that over time most congregations plateau and then eventually decline. Church growth expert Ed Stetzer, explains why and shows you how to revive a body of believers.

Learn the importance of lighting a spiritual fire; intentional evangelism; making disciples; forming small groups; and a take-risk leadership---and watch your pews fill up again!

In addition, come hear the incredible story of Summit Church, formerly named Homestead Heights Baptist. Stetzer says this about Summit Church, “Under the Pastor J.D. Greear, the church experienced significant revitalization. It’s a great turnaround story.”

Ed Stetzer is currently the Director of Lifeway Research and Lifeway's Missiologist in Residence. He has planted churches in New York, Pennsylvania, and Georgia and transitioned declining churches in Indiana and Georgia. Ed has trained pastors and church planters on five continents, holds two masters degrees and two doctorates, and has written dozens of articles and books. Ed served for three years as seminary professor at the Southern Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky and has taught at fifteen other seminaries.
J.D. Greear became the Lead Pastor at the Summit Church, Durham, in January of 2002. Before coming to work at the Summit he had worked among Muslims in Southeast Asia. He entered the Ph.D. program at Southeastern Seminary in 1999, graduating with a doctorate in Systematic Theology in 2003. He is also a graduate of the Word of Life Bible Institute, and a Government and Math graduate of Campbell University.
