“The King will reply, ‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.’” Matthews 25:40
What is Operation Inasmuch (OIAM-NC)?
Operation Inasmuch-North Carolina (OIAM-NC) is a big one day Mission Blitz of your community. Imagine the excitement of 1/3 to 1/2 of your church members doing missions in your community on the same day! Imagine a big variety of projects and big variety of people experiencing Jesus’ love in action across NC on the same day! | Why do an OIAM?
There are many people in your church who have never been involved in a mission project. This is a great way to get people involved in their first ever mission trip. Think of how it could change their life. Think of the people in your community who need Christians to touch their lives in Jesus’ name. | What are some of the Projects that we could do?
Every community is unique, but the first thing to do is to look at the needs in your community and plan projects that meet those needs. Some possible projects include: Backyard Bible Clubs, sewing projects, home repairs, wheelchair ramp construction, homebound visitation, yard work for elderly, blood pressure checks, affirmation of public servants, prayerwalks, block party, garden project, child care, nursing home ministry and much more.
To learn more about OIAM in Mecklenburg County, contact Dr. Bob Lowman at the MBA office, 704.375.1197. Let’s be Jesus to our neighbors, sharing His love and His presence with those around us intentionally as missionaries where God has planted us on April 19th. You could even practice before then! |
