Metrolina Mission Prayer Journey

July 21-30, 2008

You are invited to join a mission team!
Unlike most mission teams, this is a Mission “Prayer” Team. Our focus on this journey will be to pray! It is a part of the Acts 1:8 challenge where we go to the Samaria of Vermont and Eastern Canada to assist in missions. Our missionaries tell us that this is the “most important single item that any team can help us with.” And so we invite you to join us to pray!

We are planning this Mission Prayer Journey for July 21st through July 30th. This “prayer journey” will begin here in our Jerusalem at the Metrolina Baptist Association building where we will have prayer for our community on that Monday morning as we board a chartered bus and start our trip. We plan to stop in Cary, North Carolina and have prayer and tour the Baptist State Convention building. Then on we will head on to Richmond, Virginia to the International Mission Board for a tour and prayer. After a night’s rest there we will head to Vermont, beginning in Bennington and North Bennington, then move up to Montpelier and prayerwalk the capital as well as Northfield, then stay in the Burlington area and prayerwalk Burlington, Shelburne and St. Albans. From there we will cross the border into Canada and work with Pastor Benoit Dalce in Montreal, and with Missionary Gary Smith in prayer strategies to reach Eastern Canada. On the return trip we will stop in Washington, D.C. for a “prayer tour” of the city.

This trip is specifically for prayer, but also to plant a vision for ongoing mission involvement for the churches of Metrolina Baptist Association, and to surround the efforts of all our mission teams with a prayer hedge.

The Cost for each person is $550.00 for 4 to a room and $850.00 for 2 to a room,
plus meals (your lunch and dinner)

This cost includes Charter Bus Transportation from Charlotte to Montreal, Canada and back, with stops in Cary, Richmond, Washington, D.C., Vermont, and Montreal; 9 nights lodging in excellent rooms, full breakfast each day; Mission Board insurance and fees, and materials for our work.

We are limiting the number of participants to 45, so we need to know right away if you can go.

You will also need a valid Passport to enter Canada. (Apply as soon as possible!)

So Pray and ask the Lord if He is calling you to join our Metrolina Baptist Mission Team.
